Detroit City Football Club and AlumniFi Celebrate Graduating Seniors, Impact of Youth Soccer Across Southeast Michigan
Special recognition planned today for 2026 graduating seniors
DETROIT, Mich. — Detroit City Football Club (DCFC) and AlumniFi will celebrate the achievements of youth players across the club’s statewide network during an end-of-season event today, Friday, June 5, at the Detroit City Fieldhouse. The event will feature special recognition for graduating seniors from across Detroit City FC‘s youth programs, celebrating their accomplishments and next steps after high school. Seniors who plan to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level will also have an opportunity to share their commitments.
The event will run from 5-7 p.m., with senior programming starting at 6 p.m. at the Detroit City Fieldhouse. While RSVPs were required, the media is welcome to attend.
Detroit City FC’s expansive youth system serves more than 3,000 players through its statewide network of affiliate clubs, including City, Downriver, Genesee, Huron Valley, North, South Oakland and West. From early developmental initiatives and inclusive local camps to competitive high school travel programs and the prestigious Academy Program, DCFC is deeply committed to expanding soccer accessibility, representation and advancement opportunities across Metro Detroit.
As the official financial partner of Detroit City FC, AlumniFi proudly supports the club’s mission of helping young people and families thrive. Through financial education resources, community engagement and long-term investment in the club’s growth, AlumniFi is committed to expanding opportunity both on and off the field. AlumniFi serves as the club’s front-of-jersey sponsor and naming rights partner for AlumniFi Field, the future 15,000-seat home of Detroit City FC currently under construction in southwest Detroit. Together, the partnership is helping drive both the club’s continued growth and broader economic investment in the region.
“Our youth programs are the foundation of what Detroit City FC stands for — community, opportunity and a passion for the beautiful game,” said Sean Mann, Detroit City FC CEO. “Seeing our 2026 seniors prepare for college underscores the vital pathway our coaches and affiliate clubs provide. Partnering with AlumniFi allows us to celebrate these achievements while building a brighter future for soccer and neighborhood development across Detroit.”
“We’re proud to celebrate these students and everything they’ve accomplished, whether their next step is college, a career, military service or another path entirely,” said April Clobes, CEO of AlumniFi. “Our partnership with Detroit City FC is rooted in a shared belief that when you invest in young people and their families, you strengthen entire communities. From financial education and access to broader economic development, we’re committed to helping create opportunities that allow future generations to thrive.”
In addition to the formal programming, attendees will be able to make commemorative wristlets at the AlumniFi table and enjoy music from DJ Matt, a bounce house, photo station and a free-play soccer area.
